The very first time I used the PowerCard, I was able to charge my iPhone once (my battery at that time was about 8%) to nearly full. I appreciated that I could immediately use it from the box without having to charge it. The Monster PowerCard comes pre-charged and equipped with a small charging cable. What is innovative about this particular battery is its size, the dimensions of a credit card and thin enough to fit into most wallets. The Monster PowerCard can provide up to 5 hours of energy to any smartphone outfitted with a USB port. Monster recently introduced what I think is the smallest portable battery to date. Those that substantially extend battery life can weigh nearly a pound, making them cumbersome to lug around. I’ve purchased a handful of portable smartphone batteries, and while many are compact enough to fit inside of my purse, they’re often heavy and bulky. Because of the extent to which I use my phone, I always carry an extra, portable battery with me. Referencing our family calendar, responding to emails, and even booking travel all occur on my phone, which is more like a mini-computer these days. My iPhone has become more than just a way to stay connected to family and friends.
